The surprise ingredients: bananas, dessicated coconut and sprinkles!

This has to be the easiest and quickest dessert that you can knock up in around 2 mins flat! Perfect for children and also an old favourite for grown ups too! That is if you like bananas and custard 😉 Lucky dip is a game of diving into something and finding treasure so hiding delicious bananas or chocolate etc. under thick opaque custard echoes this game. The original recipe calls for banana pieces in custard but you could be creative with yours and surprise your guests or yourself with other treats inside!



What you need to know:
Prep time: 2 mins No cooking needed!

Ingredients for 2-3 portions:
Tin of Ambrosia custard or any brand you like (or you can make up your own custard if you have time)
2 bananas sliced into pieces

1. Slice up the bananas, open the can of custard and pour both into a bowl.

2. Mix thoroughly and either serve straight away or put in the fridge for 20mins esp. if you like a thick skin on top of your custard.

For other varieties add different fruits, sweets or chocolate to the custard or try flavoured custards and enjoy your lucky dip! What will you find in yours?
