This is a beloved family recipe originally created by my brother David. In his teens he worked evenings in a Spanish restaurant and got to play around with h’ordeuvres and he made this dip to go with the starters. It went down really well and it tastes amazing with salted crisps, chips, cheese sticks, fried breaded mushrooms as a starter and all kinds of savoury nibbles! If you like garlic this is for you!
What you need to know:
Prep time: 5 mins
Ingredients for as much as you like:
lots of garlic
lots of mayonnaise
salt and pepper to taste
sprinkle of fresh parsley or chives on top to decorate
1. This recipe is so easy. You can make as much or little as you like and all you need to do is crush the garlic and mix into the mayonnaise with the salt and pepper. Depending on how strong you like your garlic start off with 4 cloves crushed to 6 heaped tbsp mayonnaise. Add more mayo or garlic as your taste buds suit and how many you are catering for!
2. Top with chives or a bit of fresh parsley if you make it that far without scoffing the lot! ;-P
