Here are my lovely strawbiwi chocolate shots! What’s strawbiwi I hear you ask? Basically its my made up name for strawberries and kiwis blended together. They are like little cream smoothies in dark chocolate edible cups! Top with whipped cream or leave natural and they serve as perfect light desserts or even entrees and perfect for big group gatherings or formal parties! You can either make the chocolate shot glasses yourself or buy them. What you need to know:
Prep time: 20 mins
Blend time: 20 seconds
Decorate time: 2 minutes!

Ingredients to fill 24 cups:
24 shot glass size chocolate cups
200 g strawberries hulled and roughly chopped
(save a couple for garnishing plate)
2 Kiwis peeled and roughly chopped
50 ml – 100 ml organic single cream

Whipped cream to decorate
Couple of whole strawberries or slices of kiwi to garnish plate


1. Place chocolate cups on tray or serving plate

2. Prepare fruit and throw into a blender, add cream and whizz until you have a creamy fruity puree

3. Pour the smoothie mixture into the cups

4. Either leave strawbiwi cups as they are or add a dollop of whipped cream on top and garnish plate with strawberries and / or kiwi slices and dollops of cream and serve!

Can be made 2 hours ahead of serving but keep in the fridge and add the cream just before serving.

Alternative: for an adult version or slightly boozy option why not fill the chocolate cups with your favourite tipple? They go really well with creamy liqueurs such as Baileys, Doodleys, Advocaat, eggnog (cold) or coffee or chocolate creamy drinks. Or try blending different fruits. Apple and Kiwi give a slightly tangy refreshing contrast to the sweet chocolate or try blending mango and strawberries!
